Haluan aloittaa tämän postauksen kiittämällä kaikkia teitä jotka äänestivät mua Avonin Nudemeikki -kilpailussa! Facebookissa jo hihkuinkin että voitto tuli! Joten pitäkääs silmät auki, teille on piakoin tulossa kilpailua! :-) Tänään kuitenkin jutskataan korostus/varjostus tuotteista! Sain Norris Cosmeticsilta SS:n kautta Joe Blascon varjostuspuuterin (Perfect-Pressed Powder Dark) ja korostuspuuterin (Yellow Protouch) jotka esittelen & swatchaan tässä postauksessa, ja annan aloittelijoille vinkkejä tuotteiden käyttöön.
I want to start this post by thanking you all once again for voting me on Avon's Nude-makeup competition! Everyone who follows me on Facebook already knows, but let me say it here too: I WON! YAAAS! As a thank you to you guys, I sent Avon some e-mail and asked if we could run kinda of a "thank you competition" for my followers and They said yes! So keep your eyes open, a competition for you guys is on its way! ♥ However, today we are talking about highlighting and contouring with Joe Blasco cosmetics! I received two products from Norris Cosmetics via Success Story, and today I will be reviewing them and teaching you how to use them. :-) These are the products I got: Yellow Protouch highlighting powder and Perfect-Pressed Powder in the shade Dark.
Kuten muidenkin kokeilemieni Blascon tuotteiden kanssa, ensireaktioni oli että näistä riittää pigmenttiä vaikka pienelle kylälle. Perfect-Pressed Dark puuteri on siitä jännittävä sävy, että sitä voi käyttää sekä varjostuksiin, että bronzerina lämpöä tuomaan ihon sävystä ja tummuudesta, sekä omasta mieltymyksestä riippuen. Itse tykkään yleensä käyttää bronzerina jotain aavistuksen lämpimämpää ja hohtavampaa sävyä kuin varjostuksissa, mutta haluan kokeilla tätä siinäkin ennen kuin päätän mihin tätä tuotetta pääsääntöisesti käytän. Muistutuksena vielä aloittelijoille: varjostus ei ole sama asia kuin bronzeri. Varjostuksilla luodaan nimensä mukaisesti varjoja kasvoille: häivytettään kohtia jotka halutaan piiloon/pienemmäksi, kuten esimerkiksi posket, nenä, iso otsa tai kaksoisleuka. Tähän yleensä käytetään kylmää ruskean sävyä. Bronzerilla, eli aurinkopuuterilla tuodaan lämpöä kasvoille, ja sitä voi laittaa suuremmalla siveltimellä hieman sinne-tänne: poskille, otsaan, nenänpäähän, leukaan ym. minne aurinko osuu "ensimmäisenä" lämpöä tuomaan ja rusketusta korostamaan.
As always, these are very nicely pigmented, like Joe Blasco products are. You can use the Perfect-Pressed Powder as a contouring color or a bronzer depending on your skin color and preference. I prefer to use it as a contouring color since I like to bronze my skin with something shimmery and this one is matte. Let's keep in mind that contouring and bronzing are two completely different things! Contouring is like sculpting = you add shadows on your face to change the shape. You want to use a color that is not too warm and orange, and doesn't have any shimmer to it, to make the shadows look realistic. Bronzing means bringing color and warmth on your face and you can use a shimmery and/or warm colors to do this. You can also use matte colors to bronze up your face, it's up to you. This Joe Blasco one is actually kinda of in the middle, which makes it so cool - even though it's matte, it's a nice color for both contouring and bronzing since it's dark - but not too dark, and warm - but not too warm. I personally don't like to contour with completely ash-brown shades since they seem to wash me out.
Yellow Protouch korostuväri on hyvä tuote kirkastamaan silmänalus- ihoa ja kiinnittämään peitevoiteen silmien alle. Aivan kuten varjostusten ja aurinkopuuterinkin käytössä, korostuksetkin voi jakaa kahteen "sarjaan" jotka ovat eri asioita: hohtoa ja valoa taittavat korostukset/strobing eli hohtopuuteria kasvojen korkeimille kohdille, eli ne superhohtavat palkit jotka mulla on usein mm. poskipäillä. Toinen korostustapa on käyttää kirkastavaa/vaaleampaa meikkivoidetta/peitevoidetta/puuteria kasvojen korkeilla kohdilla, kuten otsan keskiosa, silmienaluset/poskipäät, nenänvarsi ja leuka. Alla havainnollistava kuva perus korostuksiin ja varjostuksiin, koska tätä on vaikea selittää. :-D Yhdistän siis itse nämä kaksi tekniikkaa: ensin korostan vaaleammalla värillä kuvassa näkyvät kohdat, jonka jälkeen lisään vielä hohtopuuteria poskipäille, nenänvarteen, kulmaluulle,...ym. Myös violetti puuteri toimii hyvin silmien alle valoa tuomaan, mutta se saa ainakin minun käytössäni mun ihoni näyttämään tosi harmahtavalta jos mulla on rusketus - keltaiseen voi onneksi aina luottaa ihonväristä huolimatta. :-D Jos on kuitenkin vaaleahipiäinen ja ei pidä keltaisesta, kokeile violettia!
The Yellow Protouch highlighting powder is great for brightening the under eye. I like to use this under my eyes to set my concealer and brighten the area. Just like contouring and bronzing, there are a lot of different ways to highlight too! There are two main ways to highlighting your face (and you can also combine them, like I usually do!). You can either use a brightening, slightly lighter color to highlight your face (apply under eyes, bridge of the nose, middle of the forehead, chin and the top of your upper lip) or you can strobe the high points of your face. Highlighting is basically the opposite of contouring: instead of creating shadows, you are bringing light into the desired area and making it stand out. What is strobing? Strobing is when you use a dewy/shimmery color on the high points of your face (cheekbones, bridge of the nose and the top of your upper lip - and if you want to be a disco-ball like me, you can also add some on top of your eyebrows, on your brow bone and chin - maybe even on your collar bones). Since this one is a matte and yellow toned, I usually tend to us it only under my eyes, and sometimes on the middle of my chin and forehead. If you REALLY want to brighten your under eye, you can try a purple toned powder - but it can look really ashy on tanned skin.. (yellow comes to the rescue lol)!
Tässä siis miten korostan & varjostan kasvoni: tummat viivat = varjostusväri, vaaleat viivat = korostusväri. :-) Korostusväriä voi laittaa myös kulmaluulle sekä silmiensisänurkkiin.
