ABH Maya Mia Eyeshadow Palette Review

Viimeisimmästä meikki (tuote)-esittelystä on vasta hetki, mutta en malttanut odottaa tämän julkaisemista! Tänään siis vuorossa Anastasia Beverly Hillsin ja Mayan luomiväripaletin esittely/arvostelu! Maya Janeska on Itä-Afrikkalainen bloggaaja/meikkitaiteilija joka löi "hynttyyt yhteen" Anastasia BH:n kanssa, luoden tämän ihanan kesäisen luomiväripaletin joka on inspiroinut mun tämän kesän meikkilookeja jo ennen kuin edes omistin koko palettia! 

I know I was just raving about my new MAC 15x neutral eyeshadow palette, but I have another favorite for this summer that I just had to share with you guys! It's the Anastasia Beverly Hills Maya Mia -palette that ABH created as a collaboration with the beautiful East-African blogger/MUA Maya Janeska. This palette inspired me long before I even had it and I'm really loving the color combos in this particular palette!

Innostuttiin tosiaan rikoskumppanini (äitin) kanssa selailemaan Bangerheadin sivuja Juhannuksena, ja päädyttiin ostamaan (samat) ABH Maya Mia paletit. :-D ♥ Kivana yllätyksenä palettiboksin mukana tuli lisäksi viisi (5) inspiraatio lookia (kuva-tutoriaalit kääntöpuolella) jotka voi luoda tällä paletilla! 

So, me and my partner-in-crime (my mum) got a little wild on mid-summer (Juhannus) eve and ended up on Bangerhead's website... Aaand we ended up clicking the Anastasia Beverly Hills banner aaand after awhile we were already googling swatches and reviews of this palette online. And we bought it. The same palette for both of us, lol. What can I say, we have very similar taste. The palette came with five inspiration cards with tutorials, which was a nice bonus! 

Tässä paletissa on viisi mattaa ja viisi hohtavaa luomiväriä, joista osassa on hyvin pehmeä kermainen pigmentti, ja osissa - ikävä kyllä - rakeinen ja variseva koostumus jonka pigmentti on heikohko. Odotin tältä paletilta TODELLA paljon, mutta paletin väripilkut; AQUA ja FRESH PEACH olivat "pettymys". Värit tarvitsevat alleen hyvän primerin ja väriä joutuu pakkaamaan iholle jonkin aikaa saavuttaakseen värin täyden potentiaalin. Sen sijaan värit, kuten NUDE, SIENNA, WARM TAUPE, GLISTEN ja CARAMEL ovat uskomattoman herkullisia, pehmeitä ja kermaisia voimakaspigmenttisiä värejä, joita on helppo häivyttää sekä pakata luomille ilman primeria. GOLD BAR, VANILLA ja DEEP BROWN ovat kohtalaisen pigmentikkäitä, mutta hieman "rakeisia" eivätkä levity pehmeästi. 

This palette has five mat and five shimmery shadows: some of them are very creamy and dreamy, while some of them.. well, not so much. My expectations of this palette were huge, so I was disappointed to notice that AQUA and FRESH PEACH (the main reasons for me to buy this palette) were not as pigmented as I expected! I mean - yes - the pigment is nice, but we are talking bout Anastasia Beverly Hills. BUT I am very pleased to tell that colors like NUDE, SIENNA, WARM TAUPE, GLISTEN and CARAMEL are super creamy and pigmented. Absolutely dreamy and blendable. GOLD BAR, VANILLA and DEEP BROWN are something in the middle, little blotchy, but nice after all. 

Yhteenvetona: Paletin pakkaus ja luomivärit ovat aivan ihania! Paletti huutaa eksotiikkaa ja Afrikkaa, savannia ja villiä luontoa. Osa luomiväreistä ei ole mielestäni sillä tasolla kuin niiden pitäisi, mutta ne jotka ovat, tekevät yksistään paletista jo ostamisen arvoisen. (Jos omistaa luomivärinpohjustajan, ei tarvitse huolehtia värien varisemisesta tai siitä, ettei pigmentti näkyisi. Haluan vaan olla ekstra kriittinen ja rehellinen!) Suosittelisinko tätä palettia? Ehdottomasti!

To sum up, the palette and the shadows in it are gorgeous! This palette screams Africa and wilderness! Some of the shadow shades didn't meet up my expectations, but the ones that did really made this whole palette worth buying it! Would I recommend you guys to get it? YES! But make sure you have a good eyeshadow primer to go with it!
